Electrotherapy Units -TENS Machine (may be covered by your insurance) TENS can be used for relief of pain associated with a wide variety of painful conditions. Back pain, disc problems, or nerve pain (neuropathy). TENS can also be used for people suffering from migraines or chronic headaches, muscle soreness, inflammatory conditions, and both rheumatoid and osteo-arthritis. Athletes with painful acute soft tissue injuries (e.g., sprains and strains) may benefit from TENS treatments. TENS is usually used along with other forms of treatment and pain control such as physiotherapy, chiropractic and massage therapy.
