Massage Therapy

Massage is the manipulation of superficial and deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue to enhance function, aid in the healing process, and promote relaxation and well-being. Massage involves acting on and manipulating the body with pressure – structured, unstructured, stationary, or moving – tension, motion, or vibration, done manually or with mechanical aids. Target tissues may include muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, skin, joints, or other connective tissue, as well as lymphatic vessels, or organs of the gastrointestinal system. Massage can be applied with the hands, fingers, elbows, knees, forearm, and feet. There are over eighty different recognized massage modalities.

Peter Georgy, RMTPeter Georgy, RMT
Registered Massage Therapist

Peter believes that all people, from infants to grandparents, can benefit and improve their overall well-being through therapeutic massage. Peter graduated with a diploma for Massage Therapy at Medix College in 2017. He is registered and in good standing with the College of Massage Therapist of Ontario and Registered Massage Therapist Association of Ontario. When growing up in Egypt, Peter relied on getting massages to relieve the aches and pains from illnesses or injuries from sports. This sparked his interest with the benefits of Massage Therapy. Peter believes on treating the body as a "whole", as everything is inter-related physically, spiritually, emotionally and mentally. He has a great deal of experience in both wellness and rehabilitative treatments, and Peter also has a special interest in fascial techniques, trigger point releases, chronic pain (such as headache and back pain) and compression syndromes such as thoracic outlet syndrome and piriformis syndrome.

In his free time, Peter teaches Violin to people of different ages. Peter is looking forward and excited to share his talents and knowledge to improve the health and music skills to all of his patients.
